Who is FGL?

First-Generation Lawyers

those who are the first in their family to attend college or law school and who come from a family with little to no legal experience and/or education
Other challenges can include a lack of understanding of social norms and office politics, which can lead to a lack of confidence. First-generation lawyers also may not have mentors with similar backgrounds to provide career guidance.

As First-Generation Lawyers we may not have the same access to resources or knowledge our peers have. We are working to provide experiences and connections to help with these challenges.
